How Long Does It Take To Assemble A Trampoline
A standard 12 to 14-foot round trampoline, with two people working together, will very realistically take two to four hours for a novice to assemble. This time estimate includes everything from unpacking and reading the instructions to the inevitable situation where you have to repeatedly look at a certain step.
The most time-consuming variable in this process is “installing the spring.” If you don’t master the right technique, this single step can easily take an hour.
Here is a quick look-up table to give you a better idea of the time:
| Trampoline Size (Round) | Suggested Number of Installers | Actual Time for Novice Installation | Average Time for Professional Master |
| 8-10 feet | 2 adults | 1.5-2.5 hours | about 1 hour |
| 12-14 feet | 2 adults (recommended) | 2-4 hours | about 1.5 hours |
| 15-16 feet | 2 adults | 3-5 hours | about 2 hours |
| Any size (single) | 1 adult (not recommended) | adds 1-2 hours to the estimated time | N/A |
Breakdown by Trampoline Size
12 to 14-foot Trampoline
The 12 to 14-foot range is the most common, and it usually takes two people two to four hours to assemble. Although our professional masters can do it in about an hour and a half, novices must factor in the learning curve. I have to remind you that most of your time will likely be spent on the variable mentioned earlier—installing the spring. The trampoline of this size is relatively balanced in all aspects, but don’t underestimate the time required to install the safety net. The estimates I gave include this part of the time.
8 to 10-foot Trampoline
If you have a smaller trampoline, from 8 to 10 feet, the job is lighter. The number of springs is smaller, and the perimeter of the frame is also smaller. Two people can usually complete the work in one and a half to two and a half hours. Although it is faster than the larger models, the stages of unpacking and studying the instructions cannot be skipped, so the time for a novice cannot be reduced too much. However, for us, this small size work usually ends in about an hour.
15 to 16-foot Trampoline
When it comes to the extra-large size of 15 to 16 feet, you have to plan for an entire afternoon. This kind of project generally takes a novice 3 to 5 hours. That pile of springs and the huge protective net alone take up a significant amount of time. Even if two people work together, the volume and weight of the parts will lengthen the entire construction period. It takes our professional masters about two hours to deal with such a large trampoline.

Assembling Alone vs. Two Adults
Two people (the best choice): One person can hold the frame or align the jumping mat, while the other person is responsible for hanging the springs. This collaboration is the key to installing a standard 12-14 foot trampoline in 2 to 4 hours.
One person (not recommended): As written in the table, if you have to do it alone, the total time will increase by one to two hours. In addition to the extra time, some tasks, such as pulling the last spring or lifting the safety net rod, are quite laborious to do alone.
Why First-Timers Take Longer Than Pros
Researching Instructions: The steps are already engraved in our minds. As for novices, they have to stop at each step, look at the pictures, and study the process. As mentioned earlier, there will always be a moment when they “have to go back and reread a certain step.”
Spring Technique: This is the biggest difference. Professional masters use clever strength and leverage skills to hang a spring in a few seconds. Novices often fight against the elasticity and use brute force to pull, turning a half-hour job into more than an hour.
