How Do You Measure A Trampoline Net
To measure a trampoline net for a replacement, measure the steel frame instead. First, measure the frame’s outer diameter (or length and width for rectangular models) from edge to edge. Second, count the enclosure poles and note their style (straight, curved, or arched) and height. Third, identify the top attachment method (such as sleeves, straps, or caps). Finally, verify your specific model by counting the V-rings on the mat and measuring the spring length.
This video demonstrates how to measure your trampoline for a net:
Step 1: Measuring Frame Size
This is the most critical data point, which is the physical size of the trampoline frame. Depending on the shape of your device, the method needs to be slightly modified:
Circular trampoline: direct measuring outside diameter. Pull the tape measure out from the outermost edge of the metal frame on one side, pass through the center of the circle, and reach the outermost edge on the opposite side. In order to prevent the frame from deforming (turning into an ellipse) after being used for a long time, it is best to measure it twice-for example, measure the “north-south direction” first, then measure the “east-west direction”, and then take an average, which is the safest.
Rectangular or square trampoline: you need to measure the length and width separately. Measure from the outer edge of the metal to the outer edge of the metal. Don’t just measure the jumping mat in the middle. It is the frame, not the mat, that determines the size of the fence.
Step 2: Inventory And Identify The Guard Net Column
It is not enough to have the frame diameter alone, but the new net must be aligned with your column system. I ‘ve also seen people try to fit a 6-pillar net on an 8-pillar trampoline, and that doesn’t work at all.
Counting pillars: It’s very simple. Walk 1 circles around the trampoline and count how many poles vertically support the fence. Common configurations are usually 4, 6, 8 or 10.
Identify the column style:
Straight pole : standing upright, usually covered with a blue foam tube.
Curved: The rod bends outward (away from the net) and then bends back at the top. This design is usually designed to move the hard metal parts away to prevent children from hitting them.
Arched rod : This kind of rod is connected together at the top to form a complete arch or ring structure.
Step 3: Confirm The Top Fixing Method
You must find out how the fence is fixed at the top of the columns. This fixed way directly determines the network can not be tight, safe.
Sleeve type : This kind of net has a long fabric channel , which is directly sleeved from the top of the column to the end.
Straps: The net is fixed to the column by adjustable straps, buckles or tethers.
Top cap/ring : some purse seine is hung on the top of the column on a special glass fiber ring or plastic cap (this situation is more common in the curved rod model).

Step 4: Final Check By V-Buckle And Spring
Although the fence mainly looks at the frame and columns, measuring the connection points on the jump mat can help you finally confirm whether it is compatible with a specific brand or model. I suggest doing this step more and feel at ease.
Counting V-shaped buckles: Squat down and count how many V-shaped iron rings are used to hang springs on the edge of the jumping pad. This number (such as 72, 88 or 96) usually corresponds directly to a specific model series.
Measuring the length of the spring: Remove the spring from the trampoline-note that the amount must be removed, because we want the unstretched state. Measured from hook head to hook head. This step is the final “double insurance” to ensure that the replacement net you choose is specially configured for your heavy or standard frame.
